LADBS Information:

The LADBS has posted the City of Los Angeles passed Ordinance 183893. It is signed into law that structures susceptible to catastrophic damage from an earthquake are to be retrofitted.
Once you have received your receipt of the compliance order you have.
2 years: Submit proof of existing retrofit, or plan to retrofit or demolition of existing structure.
3.5 years: acquire a permit to construct retrofit and or demolition.
7 years: To complete seismic retrofitting of existing structure.Safety Rules
